The way we say anything is the way we say everything.

Let’s talk.

  • Goals don’t achieve themselves.

I work with people who want to find new and better ways to achieve what’s most important to them. Changing how we talk changes how we work. And how we work determines whether we achieve our goals.

  • Goals can’t happen on autopilot.

I work with people who feel stuck in the status quo but want to transform themselves, their trajectory, or their legacy. Even small changes in the words we use can create a new and better reality.

  • To lead change is dangerous.

I work with people who want to mobilize people to achieve important goals and not always play it safe. The future won’t create itself. How we communicate influences people’s capacity to grow and build the future.

  • Life is more than what we achieve.

I work with people who want to experience more presence and power. People who want to develop an edge defined by integrity and credibility. This is both deeply human and deeply spiritual.

    When they speak, people listen.

Business is the business of talk.

The way we talk determines the way we work.

My Approach

  • Connection leads to engagement. And engagement leads to influence. And influence gives us opportunity to make a difference.

Our intent must focus on creating more human connection not abdicate communication to AI or automations.

    You are not an algorithm.

  • More is not better. Better is better.

But better looks different for different people. A friend recently commented how he is done giving any attention to hustle-peak-performance sub-culture. Exploring your edges, he reminded me, isn’t one direction.

It takes boldness to do less, say less, and listen more. It’s about finding your power and integrity.

  • Structure and systems play a role in how your message is received.

Today’s video-centric environment reveals just how little attention is paid to the little things which may have unintended consequences.

You say a lot before you speak a word.

  • Communication is more art than science. The world applauds authenticity over excellence and expertise. Your art is how you show up with creativity, vulnerability, and power. Your art may be the element or action which invites transformation.

  • “This is great. You make me look good.”

  • “I wanted to be excellent on video and Patrick helped me to do that. It makes a big difference in the engagement of my audience.”

  • “I enlisted Patrick's help because he had the vision for what I wanted to make into a reality. I knew he'd also make it fun.”

About Me

At 9 years old I wrote my first short story and started my paper route. I’ve been an entrepreneur focused on the art and science of communication and commerce ever since.

Since then, I’ve served various start-ups and start-overs. It was there, on the front lines, that I learned how to connect with and engage customers and teams.

Most recently, I led innovation and change-management projects in major integrated health systems. Working with both clinicians and administrators meant facilitating nuance and politics.

I launched Punchn in May 2020 to address the need for people to show up on Zoom with power and integrity. Today, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, I am on a mission to empower more human connection across all technologies and digital frontiers.

Since 2015 I’ve been baking sourdough bread. My “mother” is nearly 10 years old.

Got a Question?

The start to a great conversation is a good question or insightful comment. I’m guessing you have at least one or the other. I’m excited to hear what you’re thinking or working on. Be bold. Let’s talk.
